Our Sunday service is at 10.30am. This service provides an atmosphere for individual prayer, for building community, and for listening to a Lesson-Sermon that promotes healing. The service includes hymn singing by the congregation, an inspirational solo, prayer, and a Lesson-Sermon composed of readings from the Bible and our textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. The contents of these writings provide spiritual foundation for prayer and healing and serve as our pastor. The Sunday service is conducted by two lay Readers elected from our membership.
Our Sunday School is open to students up to the age of 20 and is held at the same time as our church service. In class, students are taught the Scripture, including the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20:3-17), the Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13), and its Spiritual Interpretation by Mary Baker Eddy (Science and Health 16:24), and the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:3-12).
The students learn of God's love for them, and how the spiritual and moral teachings of the Bible and Science and Health can help them every day, in every situation. There is also time for lively question and answer discussions. Childcare is provided at all our services for children too young to attend Sunday School.
Join us for our Wednesday evening testimony meeting at 7.30 pm. This meeting includes the singing of hymns and inspired readings from the Bible and Science and Health on a timely subject. Those attending are then invited to share remarks and examples of how the teachings of Christian Science have resulted in healings.
